Farivar Innovation Neuroimaging Engineering Laboratory

Bio

I was born in Montreal and have spent most of my life here. I received a BEng, MEng, PhD in electrical engineering in 2016, 2019, and 2025, respectively, from McGill University. I love the outdoors, nature, cats, video games, science, creating, thinking, and building. I live with my wonderful wife Bee, and our cat Nightshade.

My research interests include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) hardware, focusing on radio-frequency (RF) coils, RF engineering, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), electromagnetic compatibility, and medical applications of electromagnetics. My PhD thesis work was a head shape adaptive 128-channel RF coil for improved brain imaging equity.
